I'm the grouchiest pregnant lady. Ever.

Good morning friends : )

So since we got home from Indiana it's been a whirlwind of doctor's appointments, shopping, visiting, laundry... The list goes on... But there is much to catch up on. Lucky you.

1. The Doctor's report. Kaylee's... Ha! Baby 2 next.
Well, what can I say, she's perfect, but we already knew that. Kay weighs 27.94 pounds (66%) so after a few more cookies this weekend she'll be 28 :) and is 33.5 inches tall (35%), expect a growth spurt soon! This was a really good appointment for Kaylee, she really liked the doctor and let her poke and check everything without saying "Pop it!" or whining. Which is usually not the case. I guess that Fischer's Price Doctor play set worked some magic. The doctor said she is developing great, she's talks a lot (which we know) and has a lot of words. Many of you know how I agonized over her talking when we first started teaching her how to sign, but she's more than made up the difference in the past year, and even surpassed the standard. She still uses her signs, like if she tells us what she wants and we don't respond right away, she'll ask louder and use the sign. It's pretty funny.

Kay also got a shot. I want to be nice... But the guy that gave her the shot, was an idiot! He made Kay bleed! A lot! Blood was running down her leg! She's never had a bad reaction to a shot until this one. The night before last she slept so restlessly and kept saying her knee hurt. Then yesterday morning she could hardly walk! She was limping around, it was so sad! Daddy massaged her leg and she got a dose of children's Tylenol, and perked right up. She was still limping a little this morning, and said it hurt :(

2. Ok, ok... Baby 2... We found out yesterday we are having a BOY! Yay! He's healthy! Praise Jesus! And growing wonderfully, he's already over a pound! I gained a few pounds, which brings me back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Boo! I was hoping to hold off on that one for another week or so. I didn't exercise much while in Indiana, and ate a lot more junk than I would have at home. So over the next few weeks I'm hoping to maintain and manage my weight (gulp) gain better. Don't get all soap-boxy on me and tell me I need to gain 30 pounds with this kid. I've got weight to lose, the baby is healthy, so don't worry. I don't go back to the doctor until February. Which I'm not thrilled about, I mean 6 weeks! That's a long time! I guess I will check with my doctor friend and see what he says.

Little J... was up early this morning kicking away... Big Kicks! Jolted me right out of my restless sleep. Thanks baby! But I count you as the lucky beneficiaries, as this is the reason you are getting a post today. My parents took Kay shopping with them so no responsibilities on the horizon here, unless you count Frank... hmmmmm...

3. I'm really excited to share this bit of news with y'all! We've been talking, since Texas, about sponsoring a child. We wanted to find a child born the same day as Kaylee, but never sat down to look. Well, last night, we found a little girl named Mathesto from Lesotho, Africa to sponsor. First I want to tell you I wish we could sponsor every single child on that page. It breaks our hearts to know that there are starving children everywhere, that have no access to clean water or medication. Sadly, we can't sponsor everyone. At least not yet.

We thought it would be fun to have a girl the same age as Kay, so we can watch them grow up together, and we can pray for them together. And good for Kay, to have a pen pal, but also, to encourage a heart for others. Anyways, we are really excited about adding Mathesto to our family! (I can't pronounce her name, soooo we're gonna call her Mattie) She loves to play with dolls! I hope to send one to her today! We're equally excited for the birth of our son, and the birth of the child we will sponsor for him. And are praying for both boys.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child too, we went through World Vision. We researched the organization (legit), and are really excited about the support they provide, not only for the child, but for the entire community. I pray that you will be led to consider sponsorship. We are so blessed to live in a country where our basic needs are so readily met and skipping a dinner out once a month can provide a child with food, water, medication and an education for an entire month!

4. As we were driving the 12 hours back south from Indiana. Frank mentioned going down to Dalton, Georgia for Winter Ramp. 10.hours.away. The thought of driving or sitting in a car another 20 hours this month was not pleasing to this pregnant lady. I know the benefits of going and seeing the Ramp ministry first hand would farrrr out weigh the drive butttttt....insert whining tone here... I don't waaaaaaant tooooooo... Anyways, we agreed to let the Lord's will be done. Frank texted Mike about the possibility of going. And then we learned about the 1,000 people plus, waiting list. So we thought we had an answer. Thursday after talking about it over lunch with Mike, we knew there was zero chance of us going. 6 hours later, Frank got a text, Mike got us 2 spots. Less than an hour later we had our hotel and rental car booked. Amazing how the Lord can work, not only in an impossible situation, but on my exhausted-sick-of-road-trips-never-want-to-drive-again heart. So. We leave on Wednesday. Kay will not be going along with us. It's too long of a drive for her, and just too much work for me, to be able to care for her and focus on the Lord's voice. I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with Frank on the road. But it always seems we have the best talks in the car.

SO I think that catches you up. On most things. We had an amazing month long trip in Indiana. We got to see a LOT of people, do lots of things, and bake, and bake, and bake. I may never touch another spoon again. Frank flew from San Antonio to Indianapolis on Saturday, December 17. Nick, Lisa, Kay and I picked him up from the airport and we met my cousin, Brittany and her fiancee Derek at the Old Spaghetti Factory downtown. We love that place! Oh my! Best Food! We barely finished lunch before we drove over to Richmond to meet my Aunt and Uncle for dinner. We celebrated my Granny's & Kay's birthday (Party 6 of 6)

Sunday we spent with Nick... We watched the Colts win! Way to go guys! Week 14 is a great time to start winning. Then drove back to Geneva for Sunday dinner.

Monday we had dinner with Grandpa Tom, Grandma Jan, Uncle Brent (Sleepy), Aunt Penny, Logan (Cousin) and his wife Brittany.

Tuesday we had lunch at the best place in Indiana, The West End. Yum! Then drove over to Mansfield, Ohio. We got to see Aunt Sheli, Uncle Ron, Katie, Ty and Kara. We played cards and ate Jones' Potato chips, and other things! But the chips are the best, and you can only get them there! (It's easy to see where the last 5 pounds came from.)

Wednesday morning we loaded our already-jammed-packed truck with 6 more bags of Jones' and drove and drove and drove. We got home about 10 on Wednesday night. And see items 1 and 2 for the Thursday and Friday recap.

Last night we had dinner with our amazing friends! We got to share about the baby, hold not-so-little-anymore Charlotte, rub Heather's baby belly... one last time?... and fellowship. I gave Heather permission to have little Woody, now that we are back in town... I keep telling her I want to know the minute she goes into labor! She's less thrilled about this idea. I just want to help, ok Heather?! Jeez! hahahahaha! We talked about Pinterest! AH! I know! And Danielle and I are going to make bow holders! I'm so excited!!!!! We talked about my blog. And they bugged me about not writing. So here. Here is your post ladies!

We talked about how um. real. I am in my blog. But really I'm a scaredy cat. Really, I am. It's so easy to be bold, mean and sarcastic in front of the computer. But in real life I'm chicken. I know it, they know it, you might as well know it. I talk a big game, but I hate confrontation. Like... I hate Facebook. No secret. But I like my facebook-friends less every time I read their stupid posts, of course, I don't have the guts to tell them how idiotic they sound. I hate when people give commentary on my photos, um, they're mine. Back off. I secretly threaten to 1. delete you or 2. stop posting pictures. Or if I post 49 pictures, I have 49 notifications. Ah! I don't have to know you like every.single.picture I just posted!!!!!!!!!!!! Or say cute on each one. Just call me. Thank me for posting them and let me live my facebook life unnotified! I've contemplated deleting everyone that drives me bananas but then I realized I would only have like 20 friends left. I love when people say it's time to clean up their friend's list, I pray I get cut. Please, oh please, put me out of my misery! There are even family members I wish would just delete me. Trust me. No hard feelings. But like I said, I'm way too chicken to go around deleting people. Cause what if they noticed, then confronted me? I would probably run and cry. I'd be too laden with guilt to lie, saying it was a glitch.

Frank tells me I'm too hard on people. And I probably am. But when you post, something along the lines of... Freaking out... someone broke into my... home, car... fill in the blank... and stole... my ipod, tv... again, fill in the blank.... and the law enforcement act like they can't help... I'm just not sure what you want me to say. I am sorry that happened. But what do you expect the police to do? Yes, yes, catch them. Obviously. But it seems to me, like you are expecting them to open up their wallet and hand you the cash to replace it. What would you like them to do? Bang on every door in the state until they find your stuff and the dirt bag that stole it? If it's not on camera, and/or there are no fingerprints, what could anyone possibly do? I also enjoy when people post something along the lines of being thankful to God for their intelligence and then they misspell things in the same post. I just don't know what to say. I'm reading this back and totally hear Troy in my head. Meanness... My generational curse.

I'm gonna stop there for the day.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
